Qualified Chef with International, National and Local Experience

I have been passionate about cooking now for over 20 years, gaining my qualifications in February 1992. In addition to being owner/operator of my own restaurant I have had training within a wide variety of establishments including:
restaurants, hotels, clubs, outdoor catering, cafe & functions centers.

With a love of cooking, creating and generally enjoying food, many fond memories are of preparing and consuming meals with friends and family. Form simple BBQ´s to formal dining. It`s all in the bringing of people together.

Early on in my career in the early 90`s I found myself appearing on NBN Televisions This Morning with Belinda Green & Nat Jeffries as 'The Lazy Chef.' Even then, my concept of cooking and creating was one of either making the most of the preparation time OR limiting it.

Clever cooking and meal preparation is the secret to success. This ideal has followed me through my career. While I do enjoy preparing and cooking, there are many ways to serve fabulous meals with minimal effort.

I have worked as a chef throughout Australia including venues in Sydney, Newcastle, NSW Snowfields, Fraser Island, Port Macquarie & Taree with international experience in England & Canada.

In September 2011 Louise (Lou) & I turned our attention to owner operators of a small business here in Port Macquarie

Currently we own the Hungry Workers Takeaway / Cafe, 26 Jindalee Road Port Macquarie. We operate Monday to Friday 6.30am to 2pm with a great menu selection, cold drinks and fresh Peak coffee.
